Newark Arts partnered with Makerhoods to bring you “How to Make a Living as an Artist.”

Attendees heard from panelists Adrienne Wheeler, Zee Desmondes, and Victor Davson. Each of our established panelist discussed how they have found their pathway to financial stability through their craft.

In order to help attendees continue to learn how to build their brand as well as how to make a living as a creative, Panelist Victor Davson referenced the following books:

  • "Artist's Tools Handbook" by Creative Capital

  • The Artist's Guide: How to Make a Living Doing What You Love by Jackie Battenfield

  • I'd Rather Be in the Studio! by Alyson B. Stanfield

After the panel discussion everyone enjoyed a Q&A and numerous networking opportunities.
